2024 Decorators Showhouse and Gardens with GreyHunt Interiors
For over 60 years, the Decorators Showhouse and Gardens in Indianapolis has celebrated local design talent. Hudson Valley Lighting Group was pleased to collaborate with Sallie Lord of GreyHunt Interiors on the lounge. A moody color palette, vibrant accents, and brilliant lighting came together to create a one-of-a-kind design experience.

Painted ceilings are making a comeback! By bringing the black paint color down from the ceiling to the back wall, the designer created a directional vignette, framing the seating area. The moody backdrop was offset with pops of fuschia and brass, adding feminine flair to the space.

Opposite the black wall was a white gallery wall–a little yin/yang if you will. A burled wood writing desk and greenery delivered inspirations from nature, softening the glamorous room.

Perched atop the desk, the playful Naomi table lamp is sitting pretty. Embellished with a cut-out motif, the whimsical ceramic base possesses an unexpected dimensionality that adds texture to any space.

Flush mounts can get a bad rep. While it’s rare to see such exquisite ceiling lights, the Holmdel semi-flush breaks the mold. Marrying artistry with innovation, slabs of natural alabaster are illuminated by LED technology in this enchanting fixture. Supported by an aged brass framework, each alabaster shape is entirely unique, enhancing the bespoke nature of the composition.
