Mitzi’s newest Tastemaker, Mandy Cheng, infuses memories and connection into lighting design, blending her California roots, earthy style, and creative career to craft pieces that feel organic, coastal, and classy. Inspired by the colors, textures, and patterns of nature, Mandy incorporates details like tassels, wood accents, pillowy silhouettes and soft curves.

“This collection is an ode to the moments, people, and places that have shaped my design journey. Each piece reflects someone or something significant to me—my closest friends, my family, and the traditions we share—while embracing my goal of enhancing modern living with warmth, texture, and personality.
When brainstorming my collection, I started with a box of marbles, an assortment of random hardware, some thread, random strands of raffia, a lampshade, and some fabric samples. I’m really drawn to organic materials, patterns and shapes and wanted my collection to feature this as a through line."

Reyn
Referencing the construction of traditional Chinese lanterns, the Reyn family elevates drum silhouettes with jewelry-like embellishments. The pendants feature natural woven string in the shades and tassels, immediately adding a touch of warmth and earthiness, while the sconces are accented by wooden spheres, offering an added decorative feature. To balance the highly textural nature of the materials, the metalwork is kept clean and minimal with an Aged Brass finish.
Reyn is a family name and a nod to Mandy’s husband, Rory, who is an architect.
